This relaxed small-group experience takes you by car to a beautiful snow-covered landscape at Lehtojärvi, “Bear Hill” area, where you can enjoy snowshoeing at an easy pace surrounded by silence, forests and scenic views. The Bear Hill scenic hut is equipped with an ecological toilet.

The tour begins with a meeting at the office, followed by a short drive from Rovaniemi to the snowshoeing area. Your guide will provide snowshoes and a short introduction, making this activity suitable even for first-timers.

You will snowshoe for about 1.5 hours at a calm pace, with plenty of time to take photos and enjoy nature. Once you feel comfortable on snowshoes, you are free to walk and explore while the guide prepares a fire at a private wilderness hut. Warm drinks and our signature reindeer sausage with lingonberry are served by the fire (vegan option available on requests in advance), offering a perfect moment to relax and warm up before heading back.

For safety and comfort, the cold weather limit for this tour is –20°C. If temperatures drop below this limit, the snowshoeing experience will be moved to a private island location with a warmed log cabin, allowing the tour to operate without cancellation.
