Aurora Float & Day Floating
Step away from the rush of daily life and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Lappish autumn. As the foliage glows in fiery shades of red and gold and the crisp autumn air settles over the wilderness, floating on an ice-free natural lake offers an uniquely calming way to connect with the Arctic environment.
Equipped with a specialized, warm dry suit, you will float effortlessly while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of Lapland’s golden season.
Choose between two distinct times of day:
- Day Floating: A tranquil afternoon session surrounded by the vibrant colors of the Ruska season. Feel weightless under the open autumn sky in the peaceful silence of the forest. (Please note: Northern Lights are not visible during the daytime departure).

Away from urban light pollution, calm autumn nights offer ideal conditions to have the chance at witnessing the Northern Lights dance across the sky and reflect off the dark water. (Please note: The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, so sightings cannot be guaranteed).

Your journey begins with a scenic 30-minute drive into the peaceful countryside outside Rovaniemi. Upon arrival at the lake, your certified guide provides a detailed briefing and helps you step into a high-grade CE-certified floating suit. Worn directly over your thermal clothing, it keeps you warm, completely dry and buoyant.
A brief path leads to the water's edge, where you will slip into the lake for 45–60 minutes of pure relaxation. Floating safely under your guide’s supervision, you can quiet your mind, listen to the gentle ripples and admire the vast northern landscape from water level.
After your swim, step inside our warm lakeside cabin. Settle in by the glowing fireplace with a cup of hot berry juice, coffee or tea paired with a fresh local pastry before heading back to the city.
